Foundations of Tonal Harmony is a two-year university-level music theory textbook with an emphasis on Common Practice harmony, form, and style. 

Part I covers the essentials of Common Practice harmony, including melody and chorale harmonization. 

Part II presents the formal techniques and procedures of the era, starting with an overview of style. 

Part III covers more advanced principles, exploring chromaticism and coloristic harmony more in-depth. Exercises are included to reinforce the concepts covered.

Foundations of Tonal Harmony is the textbook for Harmony & Form I & II and Form & Literature I & II. The cost is $100 and covers four semesters worth of material.
